National MDCAT Syllabus 2023 [PMC PDF]. The MDCAT test Syllabus follows a multiple choice questions format. There are 220 questions in total to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The questions are spread over four sections each section having question related a single subject form one of English, Biology, Physic and Chemistry. Each question carries 5 marks and a wrong answer incurs a penalty of 1 mark. The test has a minimum of 1100 marks.
Paper Pattern MDCAT
The test shall consist of one paper containing 220 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)- four options with single best answer- divided into following Four sections;
- Biology (88 Mcqs)
- Chemistry (58 Mcqs)
- Physics (44 Mcqs)
- English (General for language proficiency) (30 Mcqs)
- Each question carries 05 marks. Total marks, therefore, are 1100. The duration of Test will be 150 minutes (2½ hours).
- There will be Negative Marking in the test. For each correct answer, 05 marks will be awarded whereas for each incorrect answer, one (01) mark will be deducted from the total score.
- No negative ,marking will be done on not attempting a question.
