The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced the testing schedule for the 2024 PMS exams. The written exam is to be taken by thousands of applicants from across Punjab. PMS Syllabus and Subjects
The PMS test consists of two papers written as well as a viva voce. The papers written are divided into six mandatory and six optional subjects. The subjects that are compulsory carry 600 marks, whereas subjects that are optional carry 600 marks. The vivavoce exam is valued at 200 points.
Compulsory Subjects
The subjects with six mandatory requirements include:
1. English Essay (100 marks)
In this exam, applicants have to write an essay on a specified issue in English. The essay must be well-organized and coherent and the language must be concise and clear.
2. English (Precis as well as Composition) (100 marks)
The paper examines the ability of the candidate to compose a summary and write a paragraph. The candidate will be required to write a summary of a passage and compose a written piece on a particular subject.
3. Urdu (100 marks)
The test tests the ability of the candidate to speak proficiency in the Urdu language. The candidate must create an essay on the specific issue in Urdu.
4. Ethics and Islamic Studies (100 marks)
The test tests the student’s understanding of Islamic Ethics/Studies. The questions focus on Islamic religion, history and practices.
5. Pakistan Studies (100 marks)
The test tests the candidates’ knowledge of Pakistan’s history and geography, political and cultural aspects.
6. General Knowledge (100 marks)
The exam will test the candidate’s understanding of the world, including current events international relations, as well as technology and science.
Optional Subjects
